“On my own I will just create, and if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, I’ll create something else.” — Oprah Winfrey
The best way to experience a story is to lose yourself in it.
I’ve long been a fan of using short-form video and audio to help immerse people into the world of a story. I have experience working with both.
Likewise, maps, charts and other graphics can take what may have been a boring set of numbers, and turning it on its head.
I have experience working with data visualization programs including Tableau, Infogram and Datawrapper.
The best immersive experience can be a website dedicated to a single topic. I’ve designed and edited more Wordpress sites than you can imagine, but I also have experience working in a variety of CMS platforms.
AUDIO and Video
I recorded and edited this story on how a local college got around its lack of coffee shops — a cart.
I recorded and edited this video of campaign workers making last minute calls to voters.
I narrated and recorded interviews for this story on the possible hospital relocation.
Trump Vs. Reality
This was a running list of claims Donald Trump made during his 2016 campaign compare to facts.
I wrote, narrated and recorded this audio for use during primary election day in a 2015 mayoral race.
